Description
This is a preliminary painting created as part of the Where the Sky Begins series — a visual journey to places where the earth rises to meet the sky. The landscape is based on a real view of the Lomnica Pass in the High Tatras, Slovakia, seen from an altitude of 2,190 meters above sea level. The Lomnica Peak itself is the second-highest mountain in the Tatras and one of the most renowned.
Working in the style of emohromism, my aim was not merely to depict the landscape but to convey a state of awe — that breathless moment when height, vastness, and the grandeur of nature converge.
