Wawel Castle

Description

One of the most historically and culturally significant places in Poland is the Wawel Royal Castle, which on it located the Wawel Hill. A fortified residency on the Vistula River in Kraków, it was established on the orders of King Casimir III the Great and enlarged over the centuries into a number of structures around an Italian-styled courtyard. It represents nearly all European architectural styles of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods.
In fact, this place can be painted countless times, and one can write poems, novels, historical dissertations, etc. about the history of architecture, after all, it is multifaceted.
I want to say that my picture was painted from nature in plein air in the style of impressionism and depicted this magnificent place and the history of Poland. I use such paints as Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Winsor, so the picture has high light resistance and the paint doesn’t lose its qualities over time. Now the painting is exhibited in Cracow in Auction House “Gallery 36”.
